While there are many answers to this, we see the ability to put an NFT to work and earn passive income as a compelling option.Today we are excited to announce a partnership with Charged Particles, an innovative project that enables users to transform their NFTs into yield earning assets.

How it works

Charged Particles layers unique DeFi interest-generating mechanisms onto the world of rare digital assets. The Charged Particles Protocol integrates with lending and borrowing protocols like Compound and Aave while enabling an NFT to be wrapped in a basket with ERC-20 as well as other ERC-721 tokens (NFTs). This new bundle has yield earning capabilities. Through this seamless integration, Charged Particles creates interest-bearing assets with a scarce NFT attached.

Besides adding interest capabilities, users can select Time Lock, a feature that prevents an NFT from being withdrawn for a certain period. They can also discharge the yield to addresses belonging to charity, friends, or artists they want to support.

Users can shop from Charged Particle Blind Box Collections. Inside these pools will be Protons, Charged Particles’ existing interest yielding NFTs. As with all collection purchases, users also get BLES tokens when they purchase from this collection.

Charged Secondary Marketplace

Through a portal on our dApp, Blind Boxes users can dive directly into the Charged Particles ecosystem. Here they can bring new life to the NFTs they just unboxed on the Blind Boxes platform. For example, users can pool NFTs plus BLES tokens into a charged bundle. They can hold this bundle and earn interest or even resell them on various marketplaces to earn a profit.

About Charged Particles

Charged Particles is a protocol that fuses DeFi and NFTs. It allows users to do more with their NFTs by allowing them to transform it into a basket containing other ERC-20 tokens, even other NFTs. After depositing a primary asset (e.g. DAI) into their NFTs, the protocol converts it to a yielding asset (e.g. aDAI). Principal & interest from the deposit asset is then locked into the NFT. The Principal amount can also be time-locked inside the NFT, and through an integration with Aave’s aTokens, programmable yield from these DeFi yield-generating assets is just a few clicks away.
